Privacy Policy

Last updated 25 August 2026

Ranoxy Clinic ("we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy sets out our practices for collecting, using and disclosing your personal information. It applies to the Ranoxy Clinic website, and to our virtual and in-person clinic services, including consultations, assessments, treatment plans and prescriptions.

We handle personal health information in accordance with Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and, for other personal information, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Information we collect

The information we collect includes:

  • Identification details: your name, date of birth, contact details and address.
  • Health information: the answers you give in our online assessment, your symptoms, medical and family history, medications, and the results of any laboratory work.
  • Health card number, which the laboratory requires in order to process a requisition.
  • Payment information, handled by our payment processor. Card numbers are never sent to or stored by Ranoxy Clinic.
  • Technical and usage data: device and browser information, and which steps of the assessment you completed.

How we collect it

We collect personal information:

  • Directly from you, through our online assessment, our checkout, and our patient portal.
  • Through your interactions with clinicians at Ranoxy Clinic.
  • From laboratories and other healthcare providers involved in your care, with your consent or as permitted by law.
  • From electronic communications you send us.

How we use and disclose it

We use your personal information to provide and administer care: reviewing your assessment, preparing laboratory requisitions, conducting consultations, issuing prescriptions, arranging appointments, and taking payment.

We may disclose your personal information with your consent, to other healthcare providers involved in your care, to service providers who help us deliver care under confidentiality obligations, and to public or government authorities where the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not disclose your health information for marketing.

The services that handle your information

We use a small number of third-party systems to run the clinic. Each is bound to keep your information confidential and to use it only for the purpose it was shared.

  • Supabase, which stores your assessment and contact details. This data is held in Canada.
  • Jane App, our patient record and booking system, which holds your chart, intake forms and appointments.
  • Stripe, which processes payments. Your card details are entered on Stripe's own checkout and never reach Ranoxy Clinic's systems.
  • Resend, which delivers our email. Emails carry your name and email address, and are processed in the United States. We do not put symptoms, medical history or health card numbers in email.
  • Vercel, which hosts this website.

Consent

We obtain your consent to collect, use and disclose your personal information as the law requires. You may withdraw your consent at any time, on reasonable notice, subject to legal and clinical record-keeping obligations.

Retention

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Ontario law requires clinical records to be kept for a set period, which may be longer than you remain a patient. When information is no longer needed, we dispose of it securely.

Access, correction and deletion

You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, and to request its deletion where we are not required to keep it. Contact us at info@ranoxyclinic.ca and we will respond within the time the law allows.

Security

We use physical, technical and organisational safeguards to protect your information, including access controls that limit who at the clinic can see patient records. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Cookies

This website uses only the storage necessary to keep your assessment answers as you move between steps. We do not use advertising cookies on this site.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The date it was last updated appears at the top of this page.
